PROGRAMS
Newsplex is far more than just a professional
training facility. We teach classes in Newsplex, making the
knowledge base available to students in the University of
South Carolina School of Journalism and Mass Communications.
From time to time, students are given
opportunities to take part in high-profile special projects.
In 2004, Newsplex organized and coordinated the the Election
Connection in which students at USC and other leading U.S.
schools of journalism covered the race for the presidency
with camera phones.
We also offer a high school journalism
program. Plus each year, we offer special seminars for college
faculty and host an annual convergence conference for academics. |
